Note To Chad On Days of Our Lives: WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?

Chad, you were supposed to be the good DiMera, the decent DiMera on Days of Our Lives. So why the heck did you just utterly betray your wife?!

For some reason, Chad (Billy Flynn) believed that betraying Abby (Marci Miller) in the worst way possible was the best way to help her. WHAT?!!? Let’s break down exactly what just transpired that left Soap Hub and Soap Twitter completely aghast.

We get it. Gabi (Camila Banus) did an excellent job of gaslighting Abby to the point that Chad actually believes that Abby’s alter, Gabby, is back and wreaking havoc — despite the fact that she insisting there’s nothing wrong with her and she feels totally different from how she felt early this year.

Abby had the gall to cast doubt on his sometimes-when-convenient BFF Gabi, saying she was setting her up (which she is).

Chad believed Gabi, who had just been through some horrible things because of Abby, rather than his wife — despite the fact he, himself, has not seen any sign of Gabby, except the planted wig.

So, we totally get why Chad feels this way. We don’t hate him yet.

But you would think that seeing how far Abby went — marrying his brother Stefan (Tyler Christopher), a man she despises — just to avoid being committed, would have been a clue to Chad to possibly rethink his stance.

Did he? Nooooooo. He doubled down on his whacked-out thinking instead.

He kidnapped his now ex-wife, to force her into therapy. But it was so like Chad to screw that up (no cell service on the island — without a medical facility — with a woman about to give birth) and go to yet another plan. And THAT plan is what we take issue with.

Chad delivered Abby’s daughter (and his, though he doesn’t know that), bonded with Abby again — and then betrayed her, all because he HAD A BAD DREAM!

He called Stefan, of all people, and handed over Abby’s baby so Stefan would commit her. Stefam who knows Abby’s fine, figured it was his only chance to get ‘his’ child and did what Chad asked.

We’re not sure how Chad didn’t have a breakdown when he saw the look in Abby’s eyes when she realized what he did.

Frankly, we’re not sure how he’ll ever look himself in the mirror again. Chad played God with Abby’s life, and frankly, we have no idea how she will ever forgive him for what he’s done.

Even if she does, Soap Hub and Soap Twitter probably won’t.
