A-Not-So-Stupid Gabi Confronts Lani On Days of Our Lives

Gabi was completely thrown when Eli confessed his one night with Lani on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) — but now she has a bone to pick with the woman herself!

And she finally gets her chance at the worst possible moment — after Lani (Sal Stowers) arrests Gabi (Camila Banus) for murdering Andre (Thaao Penghlis)!

To that end, Gabi asks Lani point blank if the baby she is carrying is really JJ’s (Casey Moss) or is Eli the father, according to published reports. Lani swears that the baby is JJ’s because she’s determined to hold onto that secret as long as she can. But will Gabi believe her?

No matter, they are soon interrupted by Eli himself. What makes matters all the more painful for Gabi is that Lani is the woman JJ cheated on her with too — and she has a hard time accepting that it’s happened again.

She never forgave JJ for cheating, so is it really fair for her to let Eli off the hook for the exact same thing? That is something Gabi continues to wrestle with.

As for Lani, she has more to worry about than just Gabi when she finds Valerie (Vanessa Williams) with JJ. Even though Valerie is also dating Abe (James Reynolds), she is fiercely protective of Eli and doesn’t want to see him go through what she went through regarding him.

As their wedding gets closer, will Valerie become more desperate to stop JJ from having a legal claim on her grandchild? And if so, will she be the one to out the secret to JJ? Or will Gabi end up beating her to the punch?

Either way, Lani may need to rethink her strategy. She only has to look to Rafe (Galen Gering) to realize how dangerous it is to try to keep something like this a secret in Salem.
