Kate Mansi’s time reprising the role of Abigail DiMera on Days of our Lives came to a close a few weeks ago as the character left town for mental issues once again — apparently caused by someone drugging her. Now reports have surfaced that when Abby returns, she will have a new/old face in the form of Marci Miller.

Marci Miller Comeback?

Miller played Abigail from 2016-2018 and left when her contract was up, prompting Mansi to briefly return and wrap up Abby’s story. According to the Jason47 DAYS Website, Miller will indeed appear on your screens the next time we see this legacy character. However, the soap has not yet confirmed the news.

During her time as Abigail Deveraux DiMera, the actress was involved in a controversial DID story, in which Abby’s psyche split and she became Gabigail and Dr. Laura, as well. As Gabigail, she slept with Stefan DiMera, at the time played by Tyler Christopher.

Miller was nominated for Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Lead Actress in both 2018 and 2019 for her time on Days of our Lives.

The news of Miller’s return appeared on Twitter last night and even Lamon Archey (Eli) and Billy Flynn (Chad) chimed in. “Marci Miller! That’s it. That’s the tweet,” wrote Archey, to which Flynn replied, “You already know… ; )”

Days of our Lives History

DOOL made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

Bringing the Drama

It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
