News Update: Arianne Zucker And Shawn Christian Thank Fans For Daytime Cares

Real-life couple Arianne Zucker and Shawn Christian, known to Days of our Lives fans as Nicole and Daniel, are doing their part to help others during the pandemic.

On Saturday, the couple spearheaded Daytime Cares: A Live Event, a virtual variety show that was streamed on YouTube and Facebook Live. The event raised money for Feeding America and the Disaster Responder Assets Network.

The four-hour event was hosted by the couple, as well as Laura Wright (General Hospital’s Carly) and Alan Locher, with more than 40 present and former daytime stars taking part.

Among them were former Guiding Light stars Kim Zimmer (Reva) and Robert Newman (Josh), and GH’s Ian Buchanan (ex-Duke) and Finola Hughes (Anna).

Zucker took to her Instagram account to thank those who watched the special and donated to the two worthy charities.

“A BIG THANK YOU to YOU!” Zucker wrote. “What a wonderful moment to share with the Daytime community! We appreciate EVERYONE who participated on-camera and off.”

In an accompanying video, Zucker and Christian expressed more thanks for the support and urged people to continue donating and helping out these important charities.

“We just wanted to send out a video thank you to the entire daytime community—and you—for making this past Saturday event a huge success,” Christian said. “We actually beat our goal on Saturday night and continue to exceed the goal with ongoing donations, so thank you so much.”

Zuker added that for those who still want to donate or learn more about either charity, they can visit daytimecares.com, and while there, fans can watch the entire event again!

“Thank you for expanding the reach of this singular event,” Zuker wrote. “Looking forward to the next adventure with you ALL!!”
