This case pitting Xander versus Philip might come down to who committed the less significant crimes. Nobody wants the stink of testifying for either brother on them. On the Monday, December 16 Days of Our Lives, Belle decided to go low when she questioned Sarah about Xander attempting to murder Brady.
Nobody Wants to Testify
Both attorneys have to find it challenging to determine who has the rightful claim to Titan. Nobody wants to testify for Xander (Paul Telfer) or Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier). Maggie (Suzanne Rogers), Xander’s biggest defender after Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), says she is Switzerland. Meanwhile, Philip’s mom, Kate (Lauren Koslow), refused to go before the judge because she wouldn’t perjure herself for her son. Brady (Eric Martsolf), whose testimony could destroy both Xander and Philip, immediately rejected Belle (Martha Madison) and her request when she asked.
The only character witnesses brave enough to take the stand were Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer), who is on Philip’s side, and Sarah, who is married to Xander. Honestly, the judge should have taken this into consideration. Yet she threw out Alex’s (Robert Scott Wilson) testimony. He didn’t show up because he has Body & Soul commitments? Wouldn’t it be better if he were a part of the hearing? But then, if he were, Xander’s case would be stronger. Clearly, the show wants to make Philip’s case more viable.

The Vivian Factor
Meanwhile, Vivian (Louise Sorel) called Roman (Josh Taylor) from jail. Unfortunately, Kate was able to intercept it. Did she do enough to dissuade Vivian from blowing up Philip’s case? This assumes that Vivian was about to tell Roman that the supposed Victor (the late John Aniston) letter he is basing this whole lawsuit on was a forgery.
Will Vivian try again? Or was this her one attempt?

Belle Goes Low
Brady told Belle all about what Xander put him through during the entire drunk driving debacle that paralyzed Sarah. He filled her in just in time for her to use it against Xander in court.
This case is starting to give Kristen (Stacy Haiduk)/Brady custody fight vibes. When Brady should have gotten custody of Rachel (Finley Rose Slater), Kristen won because the case was heavily swayed against Brady. Now, don’t get us wrong. Xander’s misdeeds are beyond awful. But we do know that Xander has the rightful claim here.

Do you think Philip is going to take the W? Is Sarah going to plead the fifth regarding Belle’s latest line of questioning? What will Justin (Wally Kurth) do to counter? It wasn’t enough for Sarah to bring up the whole money laundering business. They needed to go into the fake death details, even though Belle provided the letter giving Philip a clean bill of mental health.
Who do you think will win the case? Let us know in the comments.
