Why Dr. Rolf’s Miracle Cure Means Very Bad Things on October 3 Days of Our Lives

Dr. Rolf has returned complete with yet another miracle cure. In the past, his inventions have awakened the comatose and resurrected the dead. In the Thursday, October 3 episode of Days of Our Lives, we now know he’s on the verge of perfecting a serum with powerful regenerative powers. His invention is just in time to potentially save Sarah from a life of paralysis. There are so many ways this can go wrong.

Quid Pro Quo

We knew an unexpected treatment for Sarah’s paralysis was on the way, and now it is here. Of course, Dr. Rolf (Richard Wharton) is behind this innovation, a miracle serum with regenerative properties. As a result, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) quickly decided to use this knowledge to her advantage.

She headed straight to Xander (Paul Telfer), where she told him about the cure and that Dr. Rolf simply needed to get in the lab and create it. As Xander’s excitement grew, Kristen dropped the bomb and said that she would give him the serum on one condition: that he ensure Brady (Eric Martsolf) goes free.

This is a pattern for Kristen. She normally uses it to save her butt, but this time, she wants to use her malevolent superpowers of manipulation, exploitation, and persuasion to help Brady. However, there are a number of ways this could all go wrong.

• Kristen won’t stop at this one quid for Xander’s quo. She’ll use this to exploit more out of him.
• The actual cure may help Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) walk again, but there may be some sort of awful side effect. There’s no way a drug like this doesn’t have a side effect, right? If there is one, will it be something Sarah and Xander can live with?
• There’s a possibility Kristen will leverage the other side of the equation. In this case, that’s Brady. Although, that’s a shaky proposition since he wants to pay for what he thinks he did. But she has to be thinking about how she can use this serum to her advantage with Brady. What does she want the most in this world? To reunite with Brady and have their family back together.
• Sarah doesn’t exactly like Kristen. After all, their history isn’t good. What if Sarah refuses to take the serum? Will Xander take matters into his own hands?

Brady Waffling

In a great conversation with Marlena (Deidre Hall), Brady talked about his addictive connection to Kristen. He says he doesn’t want to reunite with her, especially since he’s still hurting over the Theresa (Emily O’Brien) disaster.

It seemed like he may be changing his mind about Kristen, however. Will the two reunite in the next year? Will this miracle cure do the trick? Or should Brady continue to stay single and do the work to remain healthy and get his act together?
