Why Days of our Lives Alum Alison Sweeney Is ‘So Happy’

Though it’s been some time since Alison Sweeney last graced the Days of our Lives canvas with her presence, the uber-talented actress, host, director, and author has remained busy. And it looks like that drive isn’t about to change anytime soon.

Alison Sweeney Has Something In The Hopper

The actress who portrays Sami Brady on DAYS took to her Instagram to share a snapshot of herself getting all dolled up with the caption, “So happy to be back in the makeup trailer. #glam #glamsquad 📺 🎥”

That, of course, sent fans into a tizzy. In the comments section, debate raged. What exactly was the project that Sweeney was toiling on? Sharon Levy Hamel replied that Sweeney looked beautiful and hazarded a guess that it was for either a sequel to Hallmark’s The Wedding Veil series or yet another entry in the network’s popular Murder She Baked/Hannah Swensen franchise.

In the former, Sweeney starred as Tracy Serchio, one of the owners of the titular headpiece, and in the latter, she’s the namesake baker with a penchant for solving grisly murders — the more complicated, the sweeter — alongside fellow soap star Cameron Mathison (General Hospital‘s Drew Cain).

Meanwhile, Deborah Henley no doubt spoke for a big contingent of Sweeney admirers when she wrote, “You look great, Ali! I hope the makeup chair is for “Days.” Then again, like so many others, Henley granted that she’d take whatever she could get.
