Days of our Lives viewers just got word that another baby was on the way — Chanel and Johnny’s potentially glowing one — but we’re still wondering what happened to the tykes born in 2023…who haven’t aged a day since then.

Hey, Jude

Leo (Greg Rikaart) and Dimitri (Peter Porte) delivered Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) baby boy on November 13. Which would put the tyke currently known as Jude Samuel Brady almost six months old. You know what six months old babies do? Six-month-old babies put themselves up into sitting positions. So how come, whenever we “see” Jude, he appears to be lying on his back?

Do you know what else six-month-old babies do? They pull themselves up to a sitting position by using the sides of their cribs. So how come, whenever we “see” Jude, he is still in a bassinet or a portable baby carrier on top of his stroller? A six-month-old baby plopped in one of those will vault himself right out of there, landing on the floor with a thump, likely on his head.

One more thing that six-month-old babies do? They grab for things. So how come, whenever we “see” Jude, Eric (Greg Vaughan) or Sloan (Jessica Sefraty) are shaking a rattle in front of his face…that Jude expresses no interest in trying to snatch and stuff into his mouth? We’re starting to really worry about that child. And about Eric, who thinks he is such a terrific, caring dad, and yet has failed to notice any of these developmental delay red flags.

Even Worse

Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Xander’s (Paul Telfer) little girl, Victoria Margaret, was born in August. She’s almost a year old! Do you know what nine-month-old babies do? They pull themselves up into standing positions. They twist, they turn, they grab for Mommy’s earrings and Daddy’s watch, and Grandma Maggie’s (Suzanne Rogers) gloriously red hair.

They also babble sounds that adults urge them to repeat, sounds like “Ma ma ma” and “Pa pa pa.” They are starting to eat solid foods, and they can certainly hold their own bottles. So how come, whenever we “see” Victoria, she is swaddled and unmoving, and the only sounds she makes are coos more appropriate to a newborn? What is Konstantin (John Kapelos) doing to this poor child? Does he have a baby card he shows her to keep her in line and from interrupting his lying to Maggie?
