On the Wednesday, October 16 episode of Days of Our Lives, there was a little body, soul, and betrayal going on. Plus, there was a healthy dose of fighting the good fight. And now we have questions.

DAYS Dilemmas

Steve and Kayla

First, Steve’s (Stephen Nichols) instincts told him the woman staying at the DiMera mansion wasn’t Abigail. The way he tricked Dr. Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson) into performing another DNA test confirmed that the guy was a fraud. Now, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) triple-confirmed it by re-running the test with the original DNA samples. Then, Steve walked off while Kayla texted Chad (Billy Flynn) that the woman wasn’t Abigail. Now what?

What will Steve do now that he’s super sure that that woman marrying Chad isn’t Abigail?

So, is Steve immediately hopping on a plane to Paris? Will he be on the same plane as Mark, or will he lag behind? And, more importantly, why didn’t Kayla go with him? This would be the perfect opportunity for Steve and Kayla to work side by side on an adventure. Sometimes, it would be great to get Kayla out of the doctor’s coat and on the road with Steve.

The Fraud Siblings

We still don’t know enough about this family, which consists of Mark, Marin (AnnaLynne McCord), Aaron (Louis Tome), and Felicity (Kennedy Garcia). It’s a bit frustrating at this point. The show hasn’t made us care about this family other than we’re feeling really bad for Felicity and Aaron because their older siblings have this double life that will directly impact theirs when their plans go bust.

How do Mark and Marin think they will get out of this mess with their family intact?

After all, they’ve been dealing with Clyde (James Read). They know he’s a rotten, good-for-nothing criminal. Mark gets a reminder every time he goes to the Supermax prison to talk to the man who is giving him orders. Can we see the proof-of-live Clyde has given the siblings to make them so sure that their actions will result in their mom being freed? And are they even thinking about leaving Felicity and Aaron with nothing and no one if and when this plan fails, epically?

Janel Shenanigans

Meanwhile, Johnny (Carson Boatman — get a backstage glimpse of The Day Players here) is having nightmares about Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Chanel (Raven Bowens). He’s going around town following his wife, acting hella suspicious, jealous, and frankly, just plain wrong.

Why doesn’t Johnny have more faith in his wife?

Even in that nightmare, he didn’t blame Alex. He called Chanel a cheating, you-know-what! Yes, Chanel has a past, and an element of that does involve Alex. However, since they got together and got married, these two have been rock solid. They have only had eyes for each other. But now Johnny’s purposely sleeping on the couch because he can’t stand being around a cheating Chanel. He’s following her around. And he spotted her at Alex’s, where she went to talk about a surprise party she wanted to throw for her husband’s birthday. Johnny will look stupid when he finds out what is truly going on.

Fake Chabby

Not only does Abby’s face look different, but her personality seems very different as well. Yet Chad overlooks all of that based on the “conclusive” DNA test and the fact that she remembers the essence of him. She doesn’t actually recall him — the memories haven’t actually returned. He’s all-in on this wedding a hundred percent when he should be suspicious.

What will Chad do when he finds out Jennifer was right, that the woman he’s been making gaga eyes at is not Abby after all?

First of all, he will be so glad Fake Abby insisted on not meeting the kids. That was one good thing Marin did. Will he look back at all the signs that he didn’t want to see? And he won’t be able to truly fall apart since he is a dad of two. Will he renew his vendetta against Clyde? Will somebody ever be able to best Clyde in a way that he’s down for the count? And not in a way where he shows up again fronting another criminal scheme or organization from behind bars.
