Three secrets were exposed and revealed during the Monday, January 29 episode of Days of our Lives. A sudden prison release, a declaration of love, and a loaded revelation about a potential enemy created drama in Salem.
Before Kate (Lauren Koslow) could burn down Statesville trying to find her missing son, Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) let her and Roman (Josh Taylor) in on big secret number one. Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) was no longer a sitting duck in the prison. In fact, he’s now residing at The Pub where his mom can help him recuperate from the beatdown he recently received.
Harris didn’t illegally break his informant out of jail, this was on the up and up. In fact, he actually worked every contact and favor in order to ensure Lucas’s safety.
As for Lucas, he figured he was in the dog house with Roman. After all, he kidnapped his daughter, Sami. Surprisingly, Roman didn’t hold a grudge against Lucas. Instead, he felt happy for Kate and Lucas and he knows that he went above and beyond to help put a dent in this drug crisis. So he was cool with him staying at The Pub.
There was one caveat, however. Harris insisted the trio keep Lucas’s release a secret from everyone. Especially since nobody knows where Lucas is, not even Rafe.
The second secret came courtesy of Everett (Blake Berris), who, to be fair, hasn’t revealed much about himself. The one he actually spilled to Stephanie (Abigail Klein) this time, had to do with his feelings for her.
In essence, he was tired of living life in the friend zone, so he admitted that he loved her. As for Stephanie, she came clean on what it was like for her back in Seattle when he basically ghosted her. She felt a lot of pain and insecurity. It practically broke her.
This particular secret didn’t blow up in Everett’s face. It actually caused them to grow closer, and they connected on a deeper level. Even though Stephanie wasn’t ready for more, the two went to sleep in each other’s arms.
The third secret happened between partners and BFFs John (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve (Stephen Nichols). John continued to look rough, with his hair disheveled and his distracted demeanor. Consequently, Marlena (Deidre Hall) sent Steve to Horton Town Square where John was on a stroll.
In the middle of HTS, Steve confessed to his friend that he thinks Konstantin knows about The Pawn. Immediately, John looked shook. It was clearly not something he wanted to hear. Now they are going to have to find out what Konstantin knows and why he knows. And that’s a fact.
