On the October 16 episode of Days of our Lives, Cat and EJ chatted about books. There was an awful lot of subtext, though. It’s no secret that EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) can have chemistry with anyone. It’s just kind of how he rolls. But his spark with Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) seems to go above and beyond… for both of them.
Sure, she’s allegedly only working for him so she can report to Rafe (Galen Gering) about what a bad man EJ is. But doesn’t she seem to be enjoying their back and forth? A bit too much. He makes her smile, whether she wants to or not. And she makes him think. Which EJ definitely appreciates.
On My Own
Cat just got dumped by Chad (Billy Flynn). He’s going to let Thomas (Cary Christopher) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), not to mention Jennifer (Melissa Reeves, who celebrated 40 years on DAYS) and Jack (Matthew Ashford), decide whom he can or cannot date. And EJ got dumped by Belle (Martha Madison).
Her reasons were sound. But they really shouldn’t have been a surprise. Belle knew who she was getting involved with. Why was she so offended when EJ acted like… EJ? The point, though, is that both are footloose and fancy-free. They are single and ready to mingle. Insert your favorite cliche here.
Honey Trap
As we learned with Chad, Cat is familiar with the concept of faking a romance… and then, like Michael Jackson sang, a life becomes the truth. Oops. Cat pretended to be in love with Chad. And then she fell in love with Chad.
We can absolutely see her telling Rafe she is only cuddling up to EJ in order to get the intel they both want. And then losing her heart to her mark. Again. As for EJ, well, Belle only started out as a bit of fun, too. And then they both caught feelings. What are the odds of it happening again?
