Spotted: Days of Our Lives Alum Marci Miller on NBC’s Chicago Med

The October 2 episode of Chicago Med featured a pregnant patient who must have looked familiar to daytime fans. Days of Our Lives viewers who are also fans of the Chicago One franchise probably spotted Marci Miller. The actress played a character with physical and mental health issues.

Ex-Daytime Star on Primetime

Marci Miller (ex-Abigail DiMera) must have channeled her DAYS character for this primetime role. It all started when emergency room doctors at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center tended to her injuries after she fell down the stairs.

However, as Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) attempted to treat her, it was apparent that the pregnant woman had more issues that were not exactly physical. As a result, Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt), the hospital’s resident psychiatrist, had to be called in to assess her.

If you recall, on DAYS, Miller shined in a DID story arc that helped earn her Daytime Emmy recognition, including a nomination in 2019. Keep that in mind should you tune into her Chicago Med episode, which is currently streaming on Peacock TV. For much of her character’s time in the emergency room, there’s a mystery surrounding her character’s behavior and mental health.

Miller played Abigail Deveraux DiMera on and off from 2016 to 2022. According to Miller’s IMDB, she’s part of an upcoming project called Gimme My Money. It stars veteran actors James Hong and Raymond J. Barry. The movie also features Chris Bruno (Dennis), a fellow daytime alum who starred on Another World in the early ’90s.

Currently, on DAYS, a story involves a Fake Abigail (AnnaLynne McCord) luring Chad (Billy Flynn) into a marriage simply so she can steal the DiMera fortune for Clyde Weston (James Read) and save her mother. Will the show ever resurrect the real Abigail DiMera?
