Days of Our Lives September 24: Will Johnny and Chanel Survive Body & Soul?

Days of Our Lives turned the action over to the soap-within-a-soap. Body & Soul geared up for its first filming day with random script rewrites, unsuccessful contract negotiations, and a last-minute photo shoot. While Johnny and Chanel began the Tuesday, September 24 episode happy and blissful, Johnny showed signs of jealousy by the end.

Body & Soul hasn’t started filming yet, but there’s trouble brewing. And we’re not talking about Hattie (Deidre Hall — who will be attending Day of DAYS) and Bonnie’s (Judi Evans) diva behavior.

We’ll need to keep an eye on Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens). Obviously, DAYS is pushing resentments between Chanel and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson), who do have a history.

However, Chanel moved on a long time ago. She has found happiness with Johnny. As for Alex, his love life has been riddled with a disastrous wedding, fizzled romances, and his well-earned reputation as a player.

Chanel and Alex are on different planes of existence. She’s happily married to Johnny and has gone through tragedy with her miscarriage within the last year. Alex is still licking his wounds from Theresa’s betrayal, but he’s attempting to exhibit a more mature outlook. Alex and Stephanie (Abigail Klein) are kind of circling each other, but who knows what will happen there?

Chanel and Alex are playing Faith and Arrow on Body & Soul. As actors, they are currently letting their bad blood get in the way. Obviously, that’s going to clear up. At that point, being the young, hot couple on Body & Soul will become a problem for their real-life relationships.

It’s already happening, and we’re only at the cast photo shoot stage for this production. Kate (Lauren Koslow) urges Chanel and Alex to up the hotness factor as photographer Eric (Greg Vaughan) captures them. And, of course, Johnny walks in right when things heat up a little. The jealous look on his face is hard to ignore.
