At this point, Philip’s forged letter secret is only a secret to one person. And it’s to Xander, who would have a right to be mad, but not too mad because he has a history of lying. In the Monday, April 7 episode of Days of Our Lives, Sarah attempted to tell the truth, but instead opted for the false confession.
Sarah Comes “Clean”
For some reason, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) decided to tell a shirtless Xander (Paul Telfer) that she needed to confess something. Instead of telling him about the forged letter, she admitted she knew about Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) and Stephanie (Abigail Klein) before he did. She explained that Stephanie told her in confidence, but as a result, it wasn’t her story to tell.
What did Sarah hope to accomplish here? Did she really think she was going to confess the details of what Philip did? Or was this just a test to see how Xander would respond to her admitting a lie?
Because Xander didn’t get mad. Why would he? His very understanding voice knew she did it to protect a friend. On top of that, he wondered why he would get mad when her lie didn’t come close to the many lies he had kept from her over the years. He should remember what he said when the actual truth comes out.
Unfortunately for Sarah, a fake fling between Stephanie and Philip isn’t on the same level as the forged letter. This is the lie that directly affects Xander. And so he may not be so understanding when the truth is outed. That truth may be revealed later this week when Vivian (Louise Sorel) suddenly pops up at the mansion.
So now that Xander responded in this manner, there’s a chance that when he does find out about the forgery, Sarah’s wasted confession might come back to bite her.

Back to Business
Meanwhile, with the secret still (sort of) a secret, Xander, Philip, and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) hold a Titan meeting where they discuss EJ’s (Dan Feuerriegel) shooting. Xander knows this is the right time for them to pounce and make their move to take over DiMera. This tactic works while Xander remains blissfully ignorant of Philip’s fraudster ways. But, again, Vivian may come in and cause chaos at Kiriakis, much like there’s chaos going on at DiMera. Can the Kiriakis men keep it together?

What did you think of Sarah’s confession? How about Sophia (Rachel Boyd) and Holly (Ashley Puzemis) in Horton Town Square and Tate (Leo Howard) catching Doug (Peyton Meyer) at Holly’s? Also, did Kate (Lauren Koslow) shoot EJ?
