While Will has been reluctant to believe what all these people are telling him about himself, he finally sees there’s some validity to it on Days of Our Lives (DOOL), thanks to two people–Elvis and Grandma.
According to the November 27 issue of Soap Opera Digest, Will (Chandler Massey) finally decides to come home after Susan’s boyfriend ‘Elvis’ tells him that everything these people from Salem are saying is true.
Since Will trusted this man implicitly for the last two years, he has to trust what he’s saying now–and not trust the woman he thought was his mother. However, he feels shattered and like he doesn’t even know these people who say they love him.
That’s where Marlena (Deidre Hall) comes in. The pair has always had a special grandson-grandmother relationship. In fact, Marlena was the first person Will came out to–and the person who officiated at his marriage when he wed Sonny.
Sure, he doesn’t remember that now, but somehow that inherent bond is still there. When Marlena talks to Will, she doesn’t put any pressure on him, which is the last thing he needs right now.
As always, she listens to him and understands him and that’s what encourages him to return to Salem and get to know the people who say they love him. Marlena wants Will to know who he really is, and now that he realizes what he thought was his life was nothing but a lie, that’s what he wants too.
But, will remembering everything that happened traumatize him too much?
