The Thursday, April 10 episode of Days of Our Lives dealt with the Titan Industries takeover of DiMera Enterprises. Gabi acted even more affronted at the thought of hanging her Gabi Chic shield under the Titan umbrella than she did for DiMera. An injured Rex returned to see his mom and found her gun in the desk drawer. Sarah and Alex had major words over the forged letter of it all. Johnny and Chad discussed EJ. But the biggest news was Sami and Vivian’s returns. After all, they are two of Salem’s most formidable and notorious pot-stirrers of all time.
Real Reason Why Sami’s Back
Sami’s first stop when she returned to Salem was EJ’s hospital room, where she immediately encountered Belle (Martha Madison) confessing that she loved EJ (Dan Feuerriegel). What ensued was pretty much what you’d expect. Sami (Alison Sweeney) sarcastically took down Belle, who gave almost as good as she got. Sami basically concluded that Belle could have her sloppy seconds.
However, Sami also took a moment to ask about John (the late Drake Hogestyn) and if there were any leads. So their conversation wasn’t all insults, clapbacks, and smug declarations. They had a genuine moment while Belle updated Sami on what was going on with the search. Sami told her sister that what she was really back for wasn’t to be by EJ’s side, as Belle said.

It was to be there for her son. Sami admitted to Belle that Kate (Lauren Koslow) had told him about how he was conceived. Later, when she was alone with EJ, she said that she didn’t know what she was going to say to Johnny (Carson Boatman) that would explain how she fell in love with EJ after what he did to her.
That’s when Johnny walked in and let her know that this was her chance to explain things to him. When he talked to Chad (Billy Flynn), he was so angry that he hadn’t heard back from his mom. Well, she flew across an ocean to be there for him in person. So, hopefully, he’ll appreciate that as she explains her actions, her feelings, and what it was about EJ that she couldn’t shake despite him raping her.

Vivian Returns
So, Friday is when we’ll get the bulk of Vivian’s latest return. Apparently, she’s out of jail, and we don’t yet know exactly how that happened. Did Vivian (Louise Sorel) serve her entire sentence? Did she get out early for good behavior (yeah, right)? Did she escape via prison break?
What we do know is that her presence instantly raised the stakes for Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier). We know from the DAYS weekly video preview that Vivian wants what’s hers. It probably isn’t a coincidence that she got out of jail right when Philip and Xander (Paul Telfer) succeeded in taking over DiMera.

And if Philip and Kate don’t give her what she wants, she will undoubtedly blow up their lives and reveal that she was behind the forged letter that entitled Philip to half of Titan. Now that the secret about Johnny is out, we’re all about the forged letter secret getting blasted to everyone. The show has been sitting on it for a while now; too many people know about it.
It’s time for Xander to find out so we can watch the fallout.
