On the January 15 episode of Days of our Lives, Jada congratulated Stephanie on her engagement to Alex, worried about Stephanie’s stalker, and listened to Stephanie’s woes. Why Salem’s top cop deserves much more.
Key Takeaways:
- Jada is a legacy character
- Jada is a beautiful, interesting woman
- Jada is the police commissioner
Nepo Baby Girl
Jada’s (Elia Cantu) dad, Marcus, was Steve’s (Stephen Nichols) best friend growing up, and a character we watched back in the 1980s. On today’s episode, Jada and Stephanie (Abigail Klein) giggled about how cool it was that they were best friends, too. And women’s friendships are important. We’re big fans of highlighting it. But Jada deserves to be more than just the gal pal and talk to. She deserves a storyline of her own.
Love in the Afternoon
The godmother of all soap opera storylines is a romance. Jada’s relationship with Rafe (Galen Gering) fell apart after EJ replaced him with an imposter who broke up with her. We get that. Very soapy. But we are open to them finding their way back to each other. A Jada and Rafe reunion makes a heck of a lot more sense than Jada dating Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews). Not only do they have no chemistry together, but Theo also lectured her on chess and other things. Jada doesn’t usually like to be lectured.
Work Friends
Jada worked so hard to get the top spot with the Salem PD. Sure would be nice if she actually, you know, did her job once in a while. Sure, she talks a lot about investigating. She rarely does it, though. The DiMera kidnap victims broke themselves out and just happened to run into Jada and Rafe. Now Stephanie and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) are running their own sting to smoke out Stephanie’s stalker. Jada doesn’t have much going on in her love life right now. The least she can do is sleuth. The character and the actress are too good to take a back seat.
Who do you want to see Jada with? Theo? Rafe? Shawn (Brandon Beemer)? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
