The February 19 episode of Days of Our Lives featured some of Salem’s best couples… and none of them were romantically involved. Why these pairings are working while others aren’t:
Key Takeaways:
- Rachel and Sophia reunite
- Leo and Dimitri take off
- Kristen and Gwen conspire
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

We were so sad when Kristen (Stacy Haiduk, who’s about to pull double duty on DAYS and Y&R) and Brady (Eric Marstolf) insisted on Rachel (Alice Halsey) being separated from Sophia (Rachel Boyd) at Bayview, and we gave up hope of the gal pals reuniting when Kristen discharged Rachel against doctors’ orders. But today, Sophia sent a secret text to Rachel, asking her for a little favor. We can’t wait to hear what it will be. And we are thrilled the devilish duo is back to scheming!
We Are Never, Ever Getting Back Together
Leo (Greg Rikaart) insisted to Dimitri (Peter Porte) that his heart belongs to Javi (Al Calderon). Leo was just helping Dimitri clear his name because he’s a good person and a lover of truth, justice, and the American way. That’s also why he helped Dimitri slip his ankle monitor and go on the lam, out of the country and away from the rule of law (they’re headed to Alamainia). Leo and Dimitri squabbling and snooping is so much more fun than Leo being a conflicted sad sack. We can never root for them as a couple, based on what horrible people both are. But we are enjoying the duo being partners in crime.
Ladies Who Lunch
And while all the above drama was going on, Kristen and Gwen (Emily O’Brien) still found time for a boozy brunch, where Kristen made it clear she knew Gwen had set up Dimitri – and that Kristen didn’t care. Sisters before misters, and all that. All three are couples we’re happy to watch. Who needs love in the afternoon? You’ve gotta have friends! And fellow troublemakers…
