The Tuesday, April 9 episode of Days of Our Lives recap photos show Johnny making his honeymoon with Chanel happen. Off to the Horton cabin they go! Elsewhere, Kristen hates on Holly, and Ava makes a moving decision. Plus, Paulina and Abe bid a temporary goodbye.

Paulina (Jackée Harry) and Abe (James Reynolds) prepared for her to go to the hospital for her radioactive iodine treatment. Meanwhile, Johnny (Carson Boatman) let Chanel (Raven Bowens) know they were leaving for their honeymoon as soon as they got packed. (DAYS hunks (nearly) bare it all — find out the details here)
First, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) couldn’t believe she had to read about her brother’s legal predicament instead of hearing about it from her family members like EJ (Dan Feuerriegel). Then, she ended up taking out her bad mood on Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and forbid her from hanging out with Rachel (Finley Rose Slater).
After Clyde (James Read) gave Ava (Tamara Braun) new orders, she told Tripp (Lucas Adams) and Wendy (Victoria Grace) she decided to move out and get her own place. (DAYS alum Lamon Archey celebrates birthday today)
Paulina and Abe are at The Pub where they share the last meal before Paulina starts her radioactive iodine treatment.
At Horton Town Square, Johnny holds up the key to the Horton cabin where he tells Chanel they’re going on their honeymoon today!
Chanel is finally okay to go to the honeymoon after she learns Johnny arranged for her time off with her employees. Plus, she knows her mom will be isolated in the hospital. So Chanel is now on board the honeymoon train.
Holly acts a bit icy towards EJ. She doesn’t like how she and Tate aren’t allowed to see each other. And she blames EJ for overreacting.
EJ defends himself saying basically that she did the crime, she has to do the time.
Back at HTS, Kristen reads The Spectator and gets spectacularly angry. She can’t believe she found out about Stefan’s arrest online. She thinks her family should have told her.
Kristen tells EJ as much when he tries to rush by her. And she’s worried about the family business. He assures her DiMera is a-okay.
EJ then runs into Johnny. Johnny is barely able to tell him about the honeymoon he’s taking before EJ has to rush off.
At the DiMera manse, Holly and Johnny have a conversation. She insists she doesn’t love, but she likes him a lot. She also tells her stepbrother it’s not fair the parents are keeping her away from Tate.
Johnny listens as much as he can. He lets her know that soon this will all be a bad memory. She got in trouble and she has to pay the consequences. Now it’s off to pack for his mini-honeymoon.
At the park, Tripp tries to help Wendy with her PTSD.
Tripp gives Wendy boxing globes and Wendy takes it out on Tripp’s stomach. Turns out she may not know boxing, but she does know Tae Kwan Do.
Meanwhile, Ava receives a call from an unknown numbrer.
Obviously, it’s Clyde Weston, who has orders for Ava. She thinks she’s free and clear because Stefan is behind bars. But he needs her to do one more itty bitty thing.
Ava learns she has to get over to The Bistro and find Gil’s book that details Clyde’s entire drug operation. And then she needs to hand it to him personally.
After Wendy and Tripp come home, Ava breaks some news to them.
Ava tells Wendy and Tripp that she is finally moving out leaving the love birds alone.
Holly and Rachel hang together, chatting and doing mani pedis.
Kristen arrives and immediately yells at Holly for doing drugs. Kristen forbids her from seeing or hanging out with Rachel.
EJ comes home and defends Holly and highlights Kristen’s hypocritical ways.
Holly appreciates EJ defending her.
At the hospital, Tripp preps Paulina for the procedure ahead.
In a moment alone before her iodine treatment, Paulina and Abe hug goodbye.
Abe walks out the door and leaves his wife.
Finally, Johnny and Chanel arrive at the Horton cabin. As a romantic gesture, Johnny carries Chanel across the threshold.
Johnny and Chanel find a way to get cozy by the fire.
