November on Days of Our Lives featured betrayal, accusations, and demotions. Plus, Sarah Horton miraculously started walking again after months in a wheelchair. But Julie’s heartbreaking goodbye to her husband struck a chord for voters and viewers.

November 2024 Performer of the Month

The November Performer of the Month nominees include two DAYS newbies, Madelyn Kientz (Sophia) and AlexAnn Hopkins (Joy). Madelyn has consistently done a great job as Sophia. We sometimes find ourselves rooting for the misunderstood teen to get the guy. But we also applauded her when she dumped Tate (Leo Howard) after he mistakenly called her “Holly” in bed.

Meanwhile AlexAnn Hopkins’ Joy has the unenviable job of coming between Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens). Or attempting to, anyway. And while we may not root for the girl to end up with Johnny, we appreciate how she stands up for herself in any situation.

Billy Flynn led the poll voting most of the week. This month, his character, Chad DiMera, had to contend with the woman who pretended to be his late wife. He had to shove aside all of his urges and instincts because Clyde (James Read) had him over a barrel. He wanted to find the real Abigail’s body. And to do that, he had to play along with the career criminal. So he engineered getting Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) out of prison. Chad has made a lot of concessions, but Flynn keeps rising to the challenge.

However, by the end of the week, there was no competition. Susan Seaforth Hayes ultimately grabbed the most votes. The veteran actress showed immense strength as her character said goodbye to the man she loved for the last 50 years. Julie lost Doug, just like Seaforth Hayes lost the love of her life, Bill Hayes (Doug), last January.

Please go watch or rewatch the Friday, November 29 episode of DAYS and marvel at how mesmerizing the actress was as she sat by Doug and said goodbye. Later, Julie allowed herself to be comforted by her friends and family. And Julie was still Julie as she talked to everybody from Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) to Marlena (Deidre Hall) to Paulina (Jackée Harry). The way she recalled how Doug loved Paulina’s style was adorable and heartbreaking at the same time.

Susan Seaforth Hayes delivered every ounce of emotion she could, and, as a result, she left us all in tears.
