Days of our Lives star, Paul Telfer recently reunited with Sam Heughan. The Scottish stars have been friends since they appeared in 2010’s Young Alexander the Great. Heughan played the movie’s title character while Telfer was Alexander’s closest friend and bodyguard, Hephaestion.
Chance London Encounter
On DAYS, Xander Cook doesn’t have a lot of friends. He pretty much counts Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), Maggie (Suzanne Rogers), and his daughter Victoria as his people.
In real life, Telfer (who is posing with costars for Playgirl’s digital relaunch) has a rich life full of love with his wife, Carmen Cusack, his career on DAYS and in movies, and travel. He also has lots of friends, including Outlander actor Heughan. The two may be Scots, but they recently ran into each other in London, of all places. In Telfer’s tweet that accompanied a smiley photo, he wrote, “By an absolutely incredible coincidence, @carmen_cusack and I randomly bumped into our fave Scotsman @SamHeughan while wandering around London! What’re the chances!?!”
And if you look further into the comments, you’ll see that Telfer responded to a fan who noted that London wasn’t a small city.
And apparently, Heughan was the one who spotted Telfer. How amazing was that “absolutely incredible coincidence?”
Actors In Demand
Telfer’s DAYS character, Xander Cook, is currently embroiled in a heavy storyline that has seen his character railroaded for a shooting he didn’t commit. This is the one time his character didn’t commit the crime. It’s true, Xander is doing what he can to be the best for his family.
Meanwhile, Heughan has played the handsome, dashing, Jamie Fraser on Starz’s Outlander for nearly a decade. The time-traveling drama based on the Diana Gabaldon book series is nearing the end, with the second part of the seventh season airing later this year and then an eighth and final season following it up.
Then, who knows, maybe Telfer and Heughan can reunite in another period piece. It could happen. What would you love to see these two actors star in together? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
