Alice Halsey’s last airdate as the delightfully demented Rachel Isabella Black on Days of our Lives was on Thursday, March 5. She made her debut in Salem on April 24, 2025, and, for almost a year, terrorized the town, all while pretending to be sweet and innocent and good and not a psycho killer. That’s a tough line to walk for an actor of any age, much less one who recently turned eleven years old. And we want to honor her for it on Alice’s way out!
Key Takeaways
- Rachel tried to kill multiple people.
- Rachel manipulated her parents like a pro.
- Rachel’s best team-up was with Sophia.
Killer Smile
Rachel tried to kill Ava (Tamara Braun) with her grandmother. Rachel tried to kill Jeremy (Michael Roark) with a pumpkin. Rachel tried to kill Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) with pistachio ice cream.
And, oh, yeah, Rachel tried to kill EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) with a gun. These weren’t adorable childish pranks. These were all out murder attempts. And yet, Halsey’s portrayal made Rachel watchable, nonetheless. There are adult actors on the show who can’t pull that off.
The Parent Trap
Not only was the audience charmed, but Rachel’s parents were, too. Of course, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk, who gave her co-star a lovely sendoff) believed her little darling couldn’t do any wrong, and Brady (Eric Martsolf, who shared a sweet message) was so preoccupied with Tate’s (Leo Howard) baby drama that he allowed Rachel’s mother to convince him everything was fine.
But it was Halsey’s skilled flip-flop from cold-blooded killer to confused little girl that allowed us to see how Kristen and Brady were taken in. Even as we wished they would both finally get it together and parent, for a change.
Two Heads are Better Than One
And Rachel’s story really kicked into high gear when she was put into Bayview with Sophia (Rachel Boyd), who taught her new and exciting evil schemes. This team-up is the most compelling pairing currently on the show, and the young lady who takes over for Halsey will have some huge shoes to fill!
