We already know that Kristen has a lookalike on Days of our Lives. Susan, EJ’s mom, with whom Kristen sometimes switches places when she needs to get out of trouble. And we know that Kristen has lived many, many lives, every time she goes on the run to escape punishment for her latest crimes. Shall we take a look at who else Kristen might have been…through the many roles Stacy Haiduk has played?
Before there was the Snyder Cut, before there was Smallville, before there was Lois & Clark, there was Superboy. And before there was Lois Lane, there was Lana Lang. From 1988 to 1992, Haiduk portrayed Lana opposite John Haymes Newton’s Superboy. Clark and Lana started as college students but, by the third season, were interns at a government agency in Florida. Ah-ha! That’s obviously where she first erased any record of Lana Lang and turned into Kristen DiMera. You can look for clues, here – for free!
From the air to the sea! With Superboy grounded, Haiduk moved onto the turbulent waters of SeaQuest. Now, she was Katherine Hitchcock, where she got to work with movie star Roy Scheider (he finally got himself a bigger boat), teen heartthrob Jonathan Brandis, and Darwin, the talking dolphin. Haiduk only lasted one season. But she got a real-life husband, actor Bradford Tatum out of the deal. Stream it on Peacock — the same network that brings you DAYS!
Check out these great facts about Haiduk.
We all know Kristen is an emotional vampire — just ask Brady (Eric Martsolf). And we also know she has almost as many lives as her never quite dearly departed daddy, Stefano (Joseph Mascolo). So would you be surprised to hear she was a vampire? Yeah, we weren’t either. Here she is on Kindred: The Embraced. Embracing her true nature.
How many times has Kristen avoided a jail sentence that she so richly deserves? Would you be surprised to hear that she co-starred in nine episodes of Prison Break? In Season Four, she played Lisa, the daughter of a bad guy and a key player in his bad deeds. Now why does that sound familiar?
What could be more soapy than taking on a role originated by someone else? Haiduk did it with Kristen and Susan (Eileen Davidson, currently Ashley on The Young and the Restless, originated both parts). But, first, she did it on the primetime sudser Melrose Place. Beth Toussaint played Colleen during the first season, when she told Jake (Grant Show) that he was the father of her son, then asked him to sign away his parental rights to her current husband. Jake did. Colleen came back in the fifth season, now played by Haiduk, divorced and ready to reunite. A child should have both their parents, around, right, Brady? At least she got Jake to agree…Maybe Kristen should show Brady these Melrose Place episodes. Show him how a real man acts when she has his child.
