Julie Dove is a force of nature when she appears as Connie on Days of our Lives. Now, sadly, the actress is taking a more subdued tone as she shares with her friends and fans news of a devastating loss.

“Oh sweet Chula when you came into my life August 7, 2014, there is no doubt you rescued me,” Dove began an emotional Instagram post. “To say we went through so much together doesn’t seem adequate. Everyone you met loved you.
“You absolutely made me a better person and it was my greatest honor to be your mom,” the DAYS actress continues. “I’m sorry if I held on a little too long. I believe you understood I had to get through the other side of losing my mama and I couldn’t do it alone. Thank you for bringing me true joy and so much unconditional love. I didn’t know I could love so much until I met you.

“You’re forever in my heart,” Dove added. “Today was heartbreaking but I know you’re now at peace and no longer in pain. I will see you on the other side…Chula Carr was the very best girl. August 7, 2014 – March 12, 2024.”
Condolences on Dove’s loss poured in on her post. Actress, audition coach, and fellow dog mom, Courtney Cunningham, wrote: “Oh Julie I’m so sorry. It is so difficult. Chula was so sweet and loved you so much. And if it brings you any solace, know that Dakota is taking very good care of her right now.” Added Ryan Quan, DAYS, writer, “I’m so sorry for your loss…” Actor Jeremy Cohenour wrote: “Sending you all my love. They change our lives beyond any measure. She is always with you wherever you go.”
