Poor Rachel — she knows what she saw the night of EJ’s shooting. She witnessed Johnny and EJ fighting, and Johnny had a gun. She already confessed this to her mom, and in the Friday, May 30 episode of Days of Our Lives, she guesses that her dad also knows. Kristen also tells EJ and uses that information to her advantage. In addition, more family members return to support John and Marlena.
Johnny and Rachel
Johnny (Carson Boatman) is clearly struggling, and thankfully, he was able to talk to Marlena (Deidre Hall) and a visiting Will (Chandler Massey) about what he’s going through. He even told Marlena about leaving his father lying on the ground in the middle of Horton Town Square. He felt ashamed for doing that because it made him feel like his father.
Meanwhile, Rachel (Alice Halsey) and Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) were still at the hospital. Rachel wanted to visit John, but Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Kristen didn’t feel she should just yet. Unfortunately for Rachel, Johnny ran into them carrying Sweet Bits for the family, and things instantly grew awkward. Rachel seemed scared of Johnny and didn’t respond to his fist bump or anything. But Brady just explained away her reaction to Johnny. He didn’t tell him why Rachel was cold and distant with him.
Rachel’s reaction to Johnny was right in line with what she said she witnessed. She was a bit fearful of him. And later, she looked oddly at EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), too. Will she talk about exactly what she heard father and son talking about that night? Or should we just assume?

A DiMera Deal
At the DiMera mansion, Kristen pounced on EJ and used what Rachel knew to her advantage. She told EJ she would ensure Rachel stays quiet about what she saw that night under one condition. He would tell her where her mom was.
Ultimately, EJ made a deal with his sister: He would tell her as long as the woman never returned to Salem. If she did, he would make sure she never saw Rachel Blake (Roslyn Gentle) again. Kristen agreed, and they shook with Stefano’s portrait in the background.
So, EJ DiMera 1.0 was still rumbling under the surface. He went nowhere. He may be protecting his son (how much we are still not sure), but he will still get down and dirty when he wants. And don’t think we didn’t notice him calling Dr. Russell (Michael Dietz) about meeting with him about the Versivex.
Yes, as we expected, Brady broke the tie, voting for EJ because Xander (Paul Telfer) got hauled off to the police precinct for attacking Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier).

John’s Support Group Grows
Will and Eric (Greg Vaughan) returned to Salem, and their first visit was to John, who’s apparently getting better. Although Eric managed to run into EJ already. Check out some Friday images of John’s family being there for him by his bedside.
We have one burning question. Once Philip wakes up, do you think he’ll go after Xander, or do you think he’ll do the exact opposite and prevent Xander from having to do any jailtime?
