Johnny admitted that, a month ago, he never would have thought Chanel capable of cheating on him. Yet, here we are. Johnny thinks he knows what he saw and will look really stupid when he realizes he let his imagination run away with him. Wait until he tells his wife the real reason he let this Three’s Company-level misunderstanding fester. In the Tuesday, October 22 episode of Days of Our Lives, he told Nancy’s daughter Joy why he rather stew over his wife’s alleged transgression.
Skewed Narrative
Johnny (Carson Boatman) sat at the bar drinking beer with a massive shot of brood. He felt a righteous fury over being so sure Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) had sex. He barked at Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) when she initially talked about her relatively tame problems, but ultimately, he opened up to her after exchanging first names only, of course.
Eventually, he told Joy his entire story as he knew it. She appropriately empathized with him. He also explained why he would rather follow his wife around town than confront her and clear this whole thing up.
He basically said if he actually said the words out loud, then it would be real. Or, you know, your wife could debunk your theory in two seconds. He didn’t believe she developed back issues the way she told him she did. And now he feels justified in getting his flirt on with Joy.
That’s the way it looks like it’s heading. He will put off having a difficult decision with Chanel for one more night. A night that could change everything for Johnny and Chanel.

No Time for Surprises
Meanwhile, Chanel discusses what’s happening with Paulina (Jackée Harry) instead of tracking down her husband. She thinks this birthday surprise she’s planning with Alex’s help will make all their issues disappear. Conveniently, she’s putting things off for one more day as well.

Yes, this storyline requires everyone to behave either passively or passive-aggressively. And it’s all coming down to one more day when all hell will probably break loose. Ultimately, the question remains: Will Johnny and Chanel’s marriage survive Body & Soul?
