A few short months ago Johnny made the ultimate marriage faux pas on Days of our Lives. Now, his secret his out and his wife is furious (as she should be). Can their wedded bliss survive his drunken romp with Joy? 

Johnny’s Ultimate Sin

Johnny (Carson Boatman) made a huge mistake when he mistook Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Stephanie’s (Abigail Klein) affair as Alex bedding his wife. Instead of confronting the couple (which would have cleared up the confusion), he drowned his sorrows in a bottle…and later in Joy’s (AlexAnn Hopkins) bed. And sadly, his mistakes didn’t end there.

Not only did Johnny keep his indiscretion to himself, but he pretended to meet Joy on set, stood by and watched his wife buddy up to his almost-affair partner, and continually invited Joy into his life and his home. And, then, he was caught in his room with Joy as the clock struck 12 on New Year’s. Not a good way to start 2025. 

Is This the Whole Truth?

Chanel (Raven Bowens) demanded answers, and Johnny gave them to her. He confessed to meeting Joy at the bar, going to her room, and making out. But don’t worry, dear Wife – there was no hanky pinky involved. Or, at least, that’s what Johnny and Joy claim. Even if that’s the truth, should Chanel blindly believe him? 

Chanel is a woman who isn’t going to put up with her husband having a wandering eye or continually feeds her lies upon lies. She knows how this goes. Let him get away with something like this once and it will surely happen again. Once a cheater, always a cheater, as they say. Will this be the case with Johnny? Can she ever trust him again? 

What’s Next for Chanel & Johnny?

Chanel put her heart and soul into her marriage to Johnny, and it’s clear he’s not doing the same. if he was an honest man like he claims, he wouldn’t have lied. He would have fessed up on his own and proven his love. But, no. Johnny showed off his DiMera colors and his lack of respect for his doting bride. 

What will Chanel’s next move be? Was that slap enough to get all her frustrations and anger out? Will she start calling divorce lawyers? Marriage counsellors? Or simply pack her bags and take a break from being around her messy man? Whatever Chanel decides, one thing is for sure: Johnny has an uphill battle to face if he has any hope of fixing his marriage.
