Much of Days of Our Lives‘ focus lately has been on Lady Whistleblower making life hard for Leo and those on Body & Soul. Kerry, aka Lady W, doesn’t like Leo — the guy rejected him. But that doesn’t seem to be the sole reason why he resents the B&S head writer. The Tuesday, January 14 episode showed that Kerry had some seriously meta reasons for wanting B&S destroyed.
Kerry’s a B&S Superfan
Now that DAYS fans know the identity of Lady Whistleblower, the show is dropping anvils of clues explaining why Kerry (Derek Yates) would run such vicious items in The Spectator.
We already knew he was from Rochester, but they had him wear an I Heart Rochester hoodie to warm up in Rafe’s (Galen Gering) apparently cold house. And he’s a true fan of the OG Body & Soul. He grew up watching it.

In fact, Kerry soap-splained why he continues to watch the reboot even though he so clearly hates it. He can’t give it up — he’s attached to the show even though it’s nowhere near as good as it used to be, even though Leo (Greg Rikaart) ruined it. His words.
Initially, the way Kerry talked made us think that he was the only person behind the attack on the reputation and storylines of the Body & Soul reboot. But what if other classic series superfans like Kerry banded together to mount a multi-level attack? After all, Kim Coles’ Nurse Whitley — the OG B&S obsessed lunatic who kidnapped an amnesiac Abe (James Reynolds) once upon a time — is set to appear in the February 5 episode.
This week, Leo is laser-focused on discovering LW’s identity. If he finds out it is Kerry, will he or someone of authority get the guy to talk? Or will he insist he was acting alone? And will he cop to poisoning the cupcakes? Or was this a divide and conquer thing — Kerry rebooted the anonymous blogger’s column while Nurse Whitley resorted to the poisoned pastries.
Sizzling Question
What was up with all the bacon in this episode? Abe and Paulina (Jackée Harry) were eating it. Leo stole Abe’s bacon. And Javi (Al Calderon) and Kerry also gobbed up the delicious treat. Javi even had an entire plate of the pork product in front of him and savored the breakfast staple. Did the bacon/pork industry pay for product placement? They don’t need any help. They are preaching to the choir.
