On the January 13 episode of Days of our Lives, Brady had a consult with Rachel’s psychiatrist — and finally got the therapy he’s been needing for literally years.
Key Takeaways:
- Brady finally sees how messed up Rachel really is.
- Brady’s coddling of Rachel is what led to her issues.
- Will Brady finally set some limits with his murderous moppet?

To Face the Truth
For literally years, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) has been insisting that her precious angel is perfect, innocent, and well-meaning. Brady (Eric Martsolf) went along with it — because it was easier than facing the truth. He let Rachel (Alice Halsey) drive Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) out of his life by being a food-throwing brat. He let Rachel drive Ava (Tamara Braun) out of his life by nearly getting her killed.
It wasn’t until Rachel actively tried to kill Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) that Brady admitted she was a petite psycho. He had her committed. And then he actually listened to what her doctors had to say.
Step by Step
Rachel’s doctor spelled it out for Brady: His letting Rachel drive various women out of his life taught Rachel that she could have her way. So why wouldn’t she keep doing it?
The way to keep Rachel from being a tiny terror is to quit rewarding her for her behavior. And the way to keep her from fantasizing about her Mommy and Daddy getting back together and the three of them living happily ever after is to make it clear that he and Kristen are done for good. And to make sure Kristen gets the message, too.
It’s Your Move
Will Brady listen? Will he take the doctor’s advice? On the one hand, we are thrilled DAYS finally put into words what the fans have been screaming for months (years?). On the other hand, we’re a bit cynical that Brady will change his ways.
He can’t say no to Kristen. And he doesn’t even love her. How can he say no to Rachel? How much havoc will she have to rain down on him and everyone he cares about before Brady stops trying to be the fun parent, and just… parents?
