Is This What Dr. Rolf Is Up To On Days of Our Lives?

Mad scientist Dr. Rolf is back in Salem and probably will shake things up on Days of Our Lives. Rolf has changed many lives, from brainwashing to creating poisons and antidotes to bringing the dead back to life. Now that he’s returned, what could the good (or is that bad?) doctor be up to this time?

Secret Not Secret

At the end of the October 2 DAYS episode, Kristen (Stacey Haiduk) was sitting in the DiMera mansion trying to figure out how to help Brady (Eric Martsolf). Suddenly and quietly, the secret door opened, and good ol’ Dr. Rolf (Richard Wharton) came out. She seemed surprised that he was there, probably because he’d been on the run from the authorities for brainwashing Stefan (Brandon Barash) and Gabi. (Learn the full story of Stefan’s brainwashing.)

It’s unclear if Kristen called him to meet with her, but his entrance from the secret room (which isn’t really very secret since nearly everyone knows about it) was a shock to viewers. Given that he’s on the lam and we haven’t seen him since November 2023, he will probably not use the front door. He could be back in town for another reason, but since no one in Salem needs to be resurrected, he may be there to help her.

Brainwash, Rinse, Repeat

Fiona (Serena Scott Thomas) framed Brady for the hit-and-run accident that paralyzed Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). To prevent Xander from killing him and making it look like a suicide, Sarah lied to the police that she remembered seeing Brady behind the wheel. Kristen doesn’t know any of that, but what she does know is that Brady was drunk that night and has no recall. Because of Sarah’s lie, he got arrested, and Kristen’s trying to find a way to get him out of jail, surmising that there’s more to his story.

Considering Brady was blackout drunk and had no recall of the accident, and Sarah only vaguely recalls the speeding car that ran her down, Kristen may have contacted Rolf for help. Being adept at manipulating people’s minds, Rolf could use one of his contraptions on Sarah to either make her tell the truth or regain her cloudy memory. Conversely, he could use the device to make Brady recall what happened. Or, because EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) is throwing the book at Brady, Kristen may order Rolf to brainwash him into letting Brady out of jail.

Whatever happens, it’s always fun to see Rolf work his magic…er…science, and we’re glad he’s back!
