Brady is continually upset that he’s not in jail paying for his perceived crime of running over Sarah on the September 9 episode of Days of Our Lives, and being free is making him feel worse. Fiona may make a bad choice to protect her secret, which could end horribly. Plus, Holly verbally thrashed Eric for killing her father. Perhaps Brady can help Eric realize he wasn’t the drunk driver on that fateful night.
Although Brady (Eric Martsolf) is by no means a paragon of virtue, guilt continues to eat away at him because he believes he hit Sarah while driving drunk. He seemed a little too eager to get sent to prison and was bummed when EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) refused to press charges because of a lack of evidence.
We understand that Brady wants to do what’s right, but no one in their right mind wants to go to jail, but apparently he does. However, after learning from Ava (Tamara Braun) that she saw him drinking with Fiona (Serena Scott Thomas) on that fateful night, he set out to talk to her. You could see in his eyes that he knew his dad was right about there possibly being mitigating circumstances with the accident that he doesn’t recall.
Meanwhile, Fiona almost smothered Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) with a pillow, but Xander (Paul Telfer) interrupted, so she pretended she wanted to make her daughter-in-law comfy. But when Xander talked his wife into seeing if Marlena (Deidre Hall) could use her hypnotic skills to help her remember who she saw behind the wheel before getting hit, Fiona got worried.
Later, Fiona told herself she couldn’t allow that to happen, so she may try another method to silence Sarah. With possible murder on her mind and Brady about to confront her, disaster may occur for Fiona.
Elsewhere in Salem, Holly (Ashley Puzemis) confronted Eric (Greg Vaughan) and revealed that she knew he had killed her father in a drunk driving accident. He apologized profusely, but she couldn’t understand how her mother, Nicole (Arianne Zucker), could have forgiven him. He told her it took years for Nicole to forgive him, and they’d gotten past it.
But this news is fresh and raw for Holly, and she tore him a new one and then walked off. Poor Eric became his old sad sack self again and just sat there, looking depressed. In the grand scheme of the craziness that goes on in Salem, her anger is just small potatoes, but for Eric it’s a huge deal because he often looked upon her as a daughter. He will have a long road ahead to win her forgiveness, but if Brady is revealed innocent, that might slightly take the edge off her wrath. (Find out how his drunk driving accident caused Eric to become an alcoholic.)
