So, no continuation of the Philip/Xander drama from Monday’s episode. Why would they do that to us? We’re dying to see what else Philip has to say for himself. Instead, on Tuesday, June 17, Days of Our Lives concentrated on the teen scene. Holly, Tate, Sophia, and Aaron, who finally returned, are about to graduate from Salem High. This means the Holly/Tate/Sophia triangle gets some attention.
New/Old Influencers
With everything going on as of late, high school graduation took a back seat. So did the Holly (Ashley Puzemis) /Tate (Leo Howard) /Sophia (Rachel Boyd) triangle, which has not progressed in a while. But in Tuesday’s episode, three people could influence said progression or lack thereof.
Aaron is Back!
It was good to see Aaron (Louis Tomeo), who returned to Salem just to graduate from high school with his friends. It wasn’t long after his reunion with his sister Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) that he was at a school event in Horton Town Square, mentioning to Sophia that he thought they would have ended up together.
Maybe Aaron’s presence will get Sophia to consider that she has options other than Tate.
Doug
Doug III (Peyton Meyer) has the power to blow this triangle into smithereens and sway things towards a Tate and Sophia endgame if he wants. But there are some issues.
First, Holly admitted to Ari (Marissa Reyes) that she’s into this other guy. But she hasn’t pulled the trigger on that relationship because she’s still into Tate. Plus, she has no idea that Ari already has Doug in her sights. In addition, Doug may ice out both Ari and Holly for the time being because the loan shark seems to be targeting Ari and Holly as leverage to get his money from Doug.
As usual, Doug is a chaotic wild card who could affect the situation if he wanted.
Ari
Ari isn’t just caught up in the Doug side of things. She, apparently, was besties with Sophia when they were in kindergarten. The two reunited for two seconds, and Ari was already asking Sophia questions that could challenge what she thinks and how she responds to certain triangular situations.
And she could very well take Doug out of the wild card scenario, which means this soap love triangle could stick around for a while. Sigh.

Burning Questions
We need clarification. Did Holly say she’s still looking into colleges? And she is now waitlisted at the Sorbonne? Do you think Holly will end up at Salem U with Tate? She’s the salutatorian. She could get in almost anywhere. Please tell us, she already has a list of U.S. schools that have accepted her. She better have back-ups.
Holly also mentioned that Nicole (Arianne Zucker) was coming to the graduation. Can you imagine if that were something we could really see? Hopefully, Eric (Greg Vaughan) will be there.

How much is Doug into this loan shark for again? Because this is a lot to do if it’s a pittance.
Wasn’t it nice to see Will (Chandler Massey), Gabi (Cherie Jimenez), and Ari having dinner together?
Which couple or couples are you rooting for when it comes to this DAYS teen scene?
