Tate not being the father of Sophia’s baby came as a shock to everyone…including Sophia! Now that Tate is out of the woods, here’s who Days of our Lives fans are pegging as the real baby daddy.
Who Tesoro’s Dad Can’t Be
Sophia (Rachel Boyd) is as sneaky and conniving of a female vixen as they come. Think Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) or Claire Brady (Isabel Durant). Sophia made it look simple the way she plotted to steal Tate (Leo Howard) from Holly (Ashley Puzemis), faked their baby’s adoption, and recently got Holly so drunk, she set her dorm on fire and believes she sexted Johnny (Carson Boatman). Sophia could do all that, and yet, truly had no idea the baby she gave birth to — Tesoro — is, in fact, not Tate’s.
While there’s a handful of men the father could be, odds are, DAYS wouldn’t go there with Sophia being underage when she got pregnant. But let’s consider the possibilities anyway.
First is Doug III (Peyton Meyer). He was next on Holly’s romance radar, so odds, are, he would have been on Sophia’s too. Of course, Doug had a split second panic attack when he thought he had slept with an underage Ari (Marissa Reyes), so he definitely wouldn’t have crossed that line with the other girls.
If Sophia really wanted to try and throw the book at Johnny, she could easily find a way to frame him as the dad. She wants him far away from Tesoro, and what better way to do that than to say Johnny, an adult man, fathered him after sleeping with an underage high schooler? She’s already framing him for one inappropriate relationship, after all.
And The Father Is…
There’s only one plausible answer here, and that’s Aaron (Louis Tomeo). The two had something short and sweet going for a minute, just before Sophia slept with Tate. Now, not only does Aaron think he could be the father, but so do many DAYS fans.
“I’m glad that Tate’s not the baby daddy but feel sorry for Aaron, who I’m sure is the baby daddy. Sophia’s about to be your problem now,” one fan joked on X (formerly Twitter), while another admitted, “From the beginning I never thought Tate was Sophia’s baby’s father. I always thought it was Aaron because I think she was with him one time. We still don’t know who the actual father is, but I’m still thinking it’s Aaron!”
