After a heavy Body & Soul day, Days of Our lives focuses on the drama erupting between Tate, Brady, and Sophia’s mom. Meanwhile, it’s Ava versus Kristen…until Rachel pipes in. And Doug III and Julie share what turns out be an interesting conversation. Much of the action during the Wednesday, January 8 episode left us with some questions.
What We Want To Know
What does Julie know about Doug III?
Doug III (Peyton Meyer) comforted Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), who was clearly struggling with losing the love of her life. Yet he couldn’t come clean about how he stole her family’s necklace and sold it to save his own rear. But what was interesting was something Julie said after Doug III left to go meet “Holly.” When she was alone, Julie suddenly said, “Have a good time.” The way she said those words and the look on her face screamed suspicion. Does she know something or just suspect something is up? Did she hear a little of his conversation with Leo (Greg Rikaart)?

Is Tate anti-Ava now?
Not sure how Tate (Leo Howard) felt about Ava (Tamara Braun), before, but seems he has reason to take a disliking to her now. In Wednesday’s episode, Tate expressed his…frustration with Ava to his dad. He partly blames her for this entire Mrs. Choi (Shi Ne Nielson) situation for revealing too much about Sophia (Madelyn Kientz) and Tate to the woman. Apparently, to him, that’s what sparked her to confront her daughter and caused Sophia to come clean. So, will this animosity continue if/when Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Ava get closer?

Who was this Kristen DiMera we witnessed in this episode?
When Kristen realized that Rachel was the one to send Ava the threatening texts, part of us thought she wouldn’t parent her child and celebrate what she did. But that’s not what happened. Instead, she told Rachel there would be no texting. She made her give up her phone. And she said she would have the WiFi password changed so Rachel couldn’t get on any other device to resume her threat messages. And then she told Brady about Rachel’s bad deeds. Kristen told her daughter that she wanted better for her. That when you fight dirty, you often end up alone. And that’s not a good place to be. Go, Kristen.

How far is Amy Choi going to go to see that Sophia and Tate get married?
Amy Choi doesn’t seem like someone who will drop this idea of a Sophia and Tate wedding. Brady, Tate, Holly (Ashley Puzemis), and Sophia, for that matter, should prepare themselves for whatever Amy does next. As long as this falls under her belief system, she knows what needs to happen.

Can Tate and Holly get past his inability to tell her the truth?
Tate needs to learn to tell Holly the truth right away because Sophia will always pop up and break the news herself. She says she doesn’t take enjoyment in it, but she does a little. And she’s right to assume that Tate should have already told Holly. After Wednesday, are Holly and Tate doomed? Because of this pregnancy, Tate and Sophia will be thrown together. And it looks like Holly and Doug III may just connect. They have had about two seconds of happiness, and now there’s a possibility they’ll be torn apart again. Are Holly and Tate destined for each other? Or will they split up for good?
