Tyler Joseph Andrews was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky and moved to the Pennsylvania/Philadelphia area when he turned 16. Andrews proudly credits the city with shaping his resilience and his love of acting.
Before being cast as Theo Carver on DOOL, Andrews auditioned for the role of Tate Black — a part that ultimately went to Leo Howard.
Soap fans may be surprised to learn that Andrews previously appeared on All American: Homecoming as Leo and starred in the film Black Panthers of WWII as Private Jack Wilson.
