Chaos reigned in the Wednesday, February 26 episode of Days of Our Lives. By the end of the episode, Arnold Feniger was shipped off. It looked like Rafe may have complete amnesia. Kristen used her daughter to try to stay out of trouble. Jada felt massive amounts of guilt. Gabi snagged Arnold’s DNA. And EJ attempted to gaslight Belle.
Buh-Bye, Arnold. Hello, Rafe?
Poor Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). He can’t catch a break. As suspected, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) overpowered Rafe and injected him with the CR-17 memory-erasing drug. They were all back at DiMera mansion, Rita (Maggie Carney) watching over Rafe and periodically checking his vitals. The guy was out cold.
Meanwhile, Arnold’s (Galen Gering) ruse was imploding, with Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) in his face, accusing him of being an impostor. To his chagrin, she kept calling him Arnold. He tried to play it off, but she was determined to the point that she plucked a hair off of his head so she could get a DNA test. This could end up toppling EJ’s plans to remain out of prison down the road. Go, Gabi!

In the end, EJ sent Rita in to Olivia Pope this situation, and she really did handle it. She tased Arnold and presumably had him shipped to a place he could never escape. She placed Rafe back at the table in this kitchen, in Arnold’s clothes, and just as he woke, Jada (Elia Cantu) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) entered the house, ready to confront Arnold.
Instead, Rafe woke up, and when Jada asked him, “Where the hell is Rafe?” Rafe replied, “Who’s Rafe?” Ruh roh.
Criminal Consequences
The “Who’s Rafe” question has us scared for the former police commissioner. The drug was supposed to affect his short-term memory. But if Rafe truly is experiencing complete amnesia, then Jada and Shawn may treat Rafe like he’s actually Arnold. And that won’t end well. It may end with him in prison, paying for his doppelganger’s crimes.

Meanwhile, EJ will be sitting pretty, escaping the long arm of the law again. The saving grace here is that Gabi plucked a hair sample from Arnold. If the DiMeras remain unaware of the DNA test she ordered, then everything will be sorted, and Rafe will eventually be okay. But we all know what happens to DNA tests in Salem, USA, right?
