Days of our Lives pulled out the big guns for its milestone anniversary, which included a slew of fan-favorite returns. While it was great to see the usual suspects, such as Sami, Will, Lucas, and Eric, there was one comeback that really got fans buzzing.
Key Takeaways
- The Horton men are one hot topic.
- Julie’s brother made quite an impact on DAYS fans.
- Some ideas have surfaced to keep one Steven Olson around.
The Unexpected Horton Fan Favorite That Needs To Stick Around Salem
Last year, Steve Olson (Stephen Schnetzer) was reunited with his sister Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) when her beloved husband Doug (Bill Hayes) died. After Julie accused him of stealing Alice’s (Frances Reid) necklace, Steven abruptly left Salem despite denying that he did such a thing.
However, DAYS fans learned that the siblings had mended fences when Steve was by Julie’s side at the gala. Julie and Steven had quite a conversation with Mike (Roark Critchlow) about Doug III (Peyton Meyer).
The exchange left fans wanting more Steven. One Reddit thread discussing the episode had fans gushing over the character.
“Great to have Steven Schnetzer back. I would love seeing him get a run,” shared a fan.
Another fan stated, “I would love to see him on the show permanently. He really brightened things up in the mix today!”
There was a fan who thinks that Steve would be a good love interest for Maggie (Suzanne Rogers), and we have to agree.
“Count me in as Team Please Bring Steven Schnetzer to Days permanently,” expressed another fan.
One fan agreed but added Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) into the mix, writing, “I truly wish they’d keep both Steve Olsen and Lucas Horton around. Both those characters just plug in so nicely to some of these stories!”
Seeing more of the sibling dynamic between Julie and Steve would be amazing. Julie could use more family than just Chad (Billy Flynn) and his kids. Granted, Jeremy (Michael Roark) is now living in the Horton home, but it would do Julie some good to have her brother around.
It would also just be great to have Schnetzer back on screen, don’t you think? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
