Days of our Lives’ Executive Producer Janet Drucker Out, Noel Maxam In

Another Salem switch-up!

Days of our Lives is experiencing another shakeup on set. Co-Executive Producer Janet Drucker has announced her departure, while Senior Producer Noel Maxam takes her place.

This Just In…

Soap Opera Digest was the first to report the producer switch as Drucker, who has served as DAYS’ Co-Executive Producer for two years, announced her retirement. Drucker’s last day is said to be May 2, when Maxam will step in. According to a press release, Maxam will “seamlessly step into the co-executive producer role.”

This is far from the first behind the scenes shocker for DAYS recently. Earlier this month, Billy Flynn (Chad) announced his departure from DAYS to join The Young and the Restless, while Head Writer Ron Carlivati’s exit was announced last summer.

As for Drucker, her career on DAYS began in the 80s as a production associate. According to SOD, Drucker is the fourth woman in the show’s history to hold the co-executive producer title.

Drucker said in a statement: “It has been an honor and the pleasure of a lifetime to make my mark in Salem over the past 41 years. I will forever consider this show and everyone involved my second home, but it is time for me to focus on my family.”

As Maxam goes from Senior Producer to Executive Producer, his accolades include being a producer and director on Y&R, a writer on As The World Turns, and a Co-Executive Producer for DAYS from 2011-2012.
