Does No One Respect Lexie’s Wishes on Days of our Lives?

How is EJ the hero here?

On the August 13 episode of Days of our Lives, Marlena blabbed to Theo about Lexie’s illness. Johnny is also wrestling with whether or not to tell Theo and Abe that Lexie is hiding in the DiMera tunnels. Nobody seems to care what Lexie wants. Why is EJ the only one who, to steal a recent popular slogan, “believing women?”

Key Takeaways

I Know Who Killed Me

Lexie (Nikki Campbell) was ecstatic to be back from the dead. She had Abe (James Reynolds) back! She had Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) back! They were all going to live happily ever after.

But then, Lexie found out that Dr. Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) treatment was fading, and she was doomed to die again. Lexie loved her husband and son too much to put them through watching her die… again.

So she made the decision to lie and to disappear. To die alone. Her initial plan was to switch places with Kristen (Stacy Haiduk), who was about to be kidnapped. That was a stupid plan, and it quickly fell apart. But then EJ agreed to help Lexie and let her hide in the DiMera tunnels.

There No Business Like Your Business

EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) let Johnny (Carson Boatman) in on the family secret, and now Johnny is convinced it’s his responsibility to tell Abe and Theo. Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) filled in Marlena (Deidre Hall), and Marlena decided she had the right to clue in Theo.

Everyone is making decisions for Lexie. And nobody cares about what Lexie wants. That is seriously obnoxious. Lexie is a grown woman. She made a choice. Shouldn’t all the men around her honor it? How is EJ the only good man in this scenario?
