Chad was in an awful place on the Thursday, December 12 episode of Days of Our Lives. The mission to take down Clyde is over. Mission accomplished, sort of. Catherina shot the guy, yet Chad’s nowhere closer to finding Abigail’s body. Clyde’s in a coma for the foreseeable future, meaning he won’t be able to shed light on anything anytime soon. On the other hand, Cat and Catherina reunited. For a minute there, Chad and Cat looked like they were sympathizing with each other. Has Chad’s justifiable attitude towards Cat softened?
Clyde (James Read — who’s out at DAYS) was so close to confessing the truth until Catherina (Susan Elena Matus) shut him up by shooting him in the chest. While taking care of Weston is something, Chad (Billy Flynn), JJ (Casey Moss), and their families still have no closure where Abigail is concerned.
At the hospital, you could tell Chad was stunned by the turn of events and unsure how to process it. When Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) joined him, the two rehashed what had happened. She couldn’t understand why her mom hurt Clyde and not Chad, as she had feared.
She admitted to Chad that she was afraid for him. And he returned the same sentiment. He said that when Catherina showed up armed and solo at Clyde’s apartment, he thought something had happened to her. He looked worried about her.
Then, after she talked to her handcuffed mom, who was taken to the police station, he stood right by her side as she broke down. He looked like a guy showing tremendous empathy for a woman who brutally betrayed him not too long ago.

Cat has been completely transparent about her feelings for Chad. She mentioned it over and over again while he attempted to keep things icy between them.
Does it feel like the wall he constructed is crumbling a little bit? Something probably won’t happen now, but who knows about it down the road? Billy Flynn recently admitted that he feels there’s wiggle room for Chad and Cat to get past their dubious beginnings eventually.
In fact, the actor thinks the fact that Cat made sure Impostor Abigail never met his kids is key. “Listen, this is somebody who’s part of the DiMera family,” Flynn explained to Soap Opera Digest. “Chad would’ve done [what Cat did] in a heartbeat to somebody if it would have saved Abigail. There’s no doubt in my mind.”

So, when the two return to Salem, what do they do? Go their separate ways to their respective families? Or will Chad and Cat be drawn to each other like magnets?
Also, do we believe that Abigail is gone forever? They can’t find her body. Catherina conveniently stopped Clyde before he could say anything. What if she’s still alive?
It was great that Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and Tate (Leo Howard) decided to support Aaron (Louis Tomeo), who’s really going through it. Also, it’s like Tate and Holly are back to normal. All their obstacles seem to be a thing of the past…for now. Meanwhile, did you enjoy Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) reminiscing about their family, holidays, and their time apart, as well as worrying about Chad and JJ?
