The Days of our Lives star had a message she wanted to share.
Earlier this week, Victoria Grace was celebrating her nomination for Outstanding Younger Performer in a Daytime Drama Series. Now, she’s sharing news about why she will not be taking home the statuette in June.
“I was honored to be nominated for a Daytime Emmy and to be recognized by the Academy,” Grace wrote on Instagram, referring to her being nominated by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. “Unfortunately, there was a huge misunderstanding across the board regarding the rules for this year’s category.
“This is obviously a surprise, and I am heartbroken, but in fairness to all, I’ll be rescinding my nomination,” Grace continued. “I wish the best of luck to all the nominees. I will continue to work hard to learn another Daytime Emmy nomination next year!” Grace did not elaborate on the communication breakdown.
