DAYS Star Lauren Koslow Welcomes a New Family Member

Kate Roberts on Days of our Lives is a grandmother. Her portrayer, Lauren Koslow, hasn’t been one — until now! The fan favorite recently shared news of a new family member.

“Welcome to this wondrous world , sweet Sistine,” Koslow shared on Instagram, adding a heart emoji to her post, “and I’ve been waiting to meet you for such a long, long while.”

The actress’s daytime pals have been weighing in with congratulatory messages. “Beautiful Beauty just like her momma and Grandmama,” wrote Kristian Alfonso (ex-Hope). DAYS alumna Valerie Wildman (ex-Fay) wrote: “So precious!!! Congratulations to you and your loved ones. Sending love.”

“Soooo beautiful!!! Happy grandmahood,” says Mary Beth Evans (Kayla). Blake Berris (Everett) chimed in: “Gorgeous wow.”

“Congratulations! She is lovely!!” wrote Dan McVicar, who played Clarke Garrison on The Bold and the Beautiful opposite Koslow when she appeared on B&B as Margo Lynley from 1987-1992. Koslow first came to the attention of soap opera fans as ambitious Lindsey Wells on The Young and the Restless. Lindsay was determined to win Jack Abbott (then Terry Lester). The cad conned her into thinking they’d gotten married, but the officiator of the ceremony wasn’t the real deal. Lindsey had the goods on Jack in the form of photographs that showed he was being intimate with Jill (then Brenda Dickson), who was, at the time, John Abbott’s (Jerry Douglas) wife and Jack’s stepmother!

After leaving B&B, Koslow returned to soaps when she assumed the sought-after role of Kate on DAYS in early 1996. She has played the role ever since. Over the years, Kate has fought Vivian for the late Victor’s affections, squared off against Sami (Alison Sweeney), and been romanced by Roman (Josh Taylor). Above all, Kate is extremely protective of her children and grandchildren. Soap Hub joins fans and co-workers in congratulating Koslow and her family on the arrival of the new bundle of joy.
