On Days of our Lives, Kate is doing what she can to make the best of things. In the real world, things are looking bright for actress Lauren Koslow, who’s celebrating a major milestone.
That’s because she was born on March 9, 1953, in Boston, Massachusetts, which means that this veteran player is turning 71 years old today! After receiving her undergraduate degree in theatre and costume design, Koslow began her career in touring theatrical companies, working in productions such as Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Dial M for Murder.
Between 1984 and 1986, Koslow played schemer Lindsay Wells on The Young and the Restless. Afterward, she was asked by that serial’s creators — William J. Bell and wife Lee Phillip Bell — to join the inaugural cast of their newest creation, The Bold and the Beautiful.
For the next five years, she played designer Margo Lynley, who initially set her sights on the very married Eric Forrester before moving on to Bill Spencer Senior and Clark Garrison.
In 1992, Koslow vacated her role in order to begin a family with her husband, Nick Schillace, and she recently became a grandma! When she returned to acting, it was originally as a guest star on series like Silk Stalkings and The Nanny.
In 1996, Koslow was lured back to daytime. This time around, she joined NBC’s DAYS in the role of Kate Roberts, replacing incumbent Deborah Adair.
Koslow’s other credits include appearances in episodes of Mickey Spillane’s Mike Hammer, Spies, and Criminal Minds. She also lent her voice to the video game Zork: Nemesis.
Soap Hub would like to wish Lauren Koslow a very happy birthday, and you can do so by clicking on the X (formerly Twitter) link below.
