On Days of our Lives, Eli Grant recently returned during Paulina’s illness and in the aftermath of the fire that burned down the Horton house, but he quickly left Salem after she recovered. Off-screen, actor Lamon Archey is celebrating a major milestone.
Happy Birthday, Lamon Archey!
That’s because he was born on April 9, 1981 in Daly City, California, which means that this talented actor is turning 43 years old today! Following stints as both a carpenter and an emergency medical technician, Archey found himself “discovered” by a modeling scout while attending a job fair.
As his portfolio grew, Archey gained a manager who insisted that he enroll in acting classes. After two years of no success, Archey became disillusioned and had just about decided to give up when the opportunity to appear on Days of our Lives in an “under five” role arose.
In December 2012, he joined the cast of CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless in the role of Mason Wilder. After two years, Archey left to pursue other avenues. In 2016, he was selected to play Eli Grant, a contract character on DAYS. Eli was tied to the canvas as the son of Valerie Grant (Vanessa L. Williams) and the late David Banning (Gregg Marx).
Archey’s other credits included guest appearances on Diary of a Champion episodes, Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life, Roadies, and 2 Broke Girls. He also had roles in two television films — Dope Boys (which he narrated) and Can’t Buy My Love — as well as the feature The Woman in the Red Dress. He’s currently appearing on The CW series All American as D’Angelo Carter.
Archey wed his girlfriend Kristen Terry after a three-month engagement in a lovely ceremony on March 25, 2023, in North Hollywood, California. The actor has much to celebrate!
