Greg Vaughan has appeared on primetime and a few daytime shows and is currently beloved for playing Eric on Days of our Lives. The busy actor is taking time out of his hectic schedule to celebrate an amazing milestone.
Happy Birthday, Greg Vaughan!
That’s because he was born on June 15, 1973, in Dallas, Texas, which means that this talented performer is turning 51 today! After serving as a model in ad campaigns for designers like Gianni Versace, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ralph Lauren, Vaughan decided to pursue his true passion—acting.
His first credits were a guest spot on Baywatch and a role in Aaron Spelling’s Malibu Shores. His work in the latter eventually earned him work on Beverly Hills 90210 (where he played Josh Walker) and Charmed (where he played Dan Gordon).
He subsequently appeared in episodes of Nash Bridges, Glory Days, Will & Grace, Sabrina, The Teenage Witch, and the British serial Casualty. Vaughan also had supporting roles in a number of feature films including, Poison Ivy: The New Seduction, Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror, and Stuart Bliss.
Between 2002 and 2003, Vaughan played Diego Guittierez on The Young and the Restless. When the character was written off the show, Vaughan assumed the part of General Hospital’s Lucky Spencer—replacing Jacob Young.
Vaughan remained with the soap until September 2009. He joined the cast of Days of our Lives in the summer of 2012, and he made his debut—in the role of Eric Brady—on November 13 of that same year. In 2018, he was nominated and won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
Vaughan’s other acting credits include a supporting role in Queen Sugar, guest spots on The Closer, GCB, and Extant, and roles in a number of made-for-television films, including Borderline Murder and Second Chances.
