On Days of our Lives, Shawn Douglas Brady is a legacy character as the oldest surviving son of Hope and Bo Brady. In real life, performer Brandon Beemer is celebrating a major milestone.
Happy Birthday, Brandon Beemer
That’s because he was born on February 27, 1980, in Eugene, Oregon, which means that this talented actor is turning 43 years old today! Beemer made the move to the Big Apple right out of high school where he found employment as a model, an occupation that afforded him the ability to take acting classes.
Another relocation, this time to Los Angeles, saw Beemer score a role in the horror film The Brotherhood. Subsequently, he appeared in episodes of Undressed and CSI, as well as a number of feature films — chief among them Suits on the Loose and Material Girls.
Between 2005 and 2006, he had a recurring role on the ABC daytime soap General Hospital. Upon exiting, he was hired to take over the role of Shawn-Douglas Brady, a popular legacy character on NBC’s Days of our Lives.
He made his debut on September 29 year and remained in the part until he and his leading lady, Martha Madison, were let go in January of 2008. Six months later, he joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful in the contract role of Owen Knight.
After parting company with the sudser in 2012, Beemer went on to appear in the short film Blood Moon as well as the feature-length Wrong Cops and a number of television movies, including Bering Sea Beast and Wedding Planner Mystery.
In 2011, he joined many of his fellow daytime alums in a reality series entitled Dirty Soap which aired on E! for one season. His other credits include fear Clinic, The Stafford Project, and The Bay. He has made numerous returns to DAYS on an “as needed” basis beginning with a November 2015 appearance. Recently, Shawn made love to ‘Belle’ only to find out that — thanks to the devil — he’d really bedded Jan Spears (Heather Lindell).
