Though it was a long time coming, Kimberly Brady — Days of our Lives hooker with a heart of gold — finally found happiness with her Prince Charming/Superspy. And that is something that every longtime fan can celebrate. And speaking of celebrations, performer Patsy Pease has a special milestone that deserves feting.
And that’s because she was born on July 5, 1956, in Charlotte, North Carolina, which means that this talented actress is turning 68 years old today! After studying her craft at prestigious institutions like the North Carolina Governor’s School of Drama, Pease began her career with a role on Search for Tomorrow.
After a few years of playing waitress and aspiring singer Cissie Mitchell Sentell, Pease abandoned the soap world in order to shadow Bob Fosse and his entourage of dancers. Years later, she would, by happenstance, land the role for which she is best known: Kimberly Brady on Days of our Lives.
On her own, Kimberly was a popular heroine. But once Pease was paired opposite Charles Shaughnessy — who played a secret agent named Shane Donovan — a supercouple was born and the popularity of the characters skyrocketed.
Pease remained at DAYS (off and on) until 1992 when she made a semi-permanent exit — returning only for occasional (and very brief) guest stints.
Among Pease’s many acting credits are guest roles in Silk Stalkings and Hardball, supporting roles in films like Total Reality, Two Shades of Blue, and Drop Dead Gorgeous, and parts in The Young and the Restless and The Bay.
In addition to being an actress, Pease is also an accredited teacher for the American Film Institute and the S.A.G. Conservatory, as well as a dance teacher and fitness consultant.
Soap Hub would like to wish Patsy Pease a very happy birthday and many more.
