Days of our Lives Alum Patrick Muldoon Celebrates His Birthday

Though it has been some time since Patrick Muldoon appeared on Days of our Lives, he has remained consistently busy in both his film and television endeavors — a fact worthy of celebration. Also worthy of celebration is the very special milestone being recognized by the actor!

And that’s because he was born on September 27, 1968, in Los Angeles, California, which means that this fan-favorite performer is turning 55 years old today! Muldoon made his acting debut in an episode of Who’s the Boss?, which he followed with guest appearances on Saved by the Bell and Silk Stalkings.

In 1992, he originated the part of DAYS’ Austin Reed — which he would play for the next three years. Subsequently, he starred on Melrose Place as the villainous Richard Hart and appeared in several made-for-TV films, including Deadly Pursuits, Black Cat Run, and Final Ascent.

Though his film debut took place in 1993’s Rage and Honor II, Muldoon became well known for his role in Paul Verhoeven’s 1997 picture Starship Troopers. His other film roles include Arrival II, Wicked, Stigmata, Black Woods, and Broken Angeles.

Beginning in the mid-2010s, Muldoon made a name for himself as a go-to-actor for films created exclusively for either the Hallmark or Lifetime networks.

In the past decade, Muldoon has also become a prolific producer. His efforts in this arena have included the Martin Sheen/Mena Suvari-starring film Badge of Honor, as well as The Comeback Trail (featuring Robert De Niro, Tommy Lee Jones, and Morgan Freeman), and Arkansas (starring Vince Vaughan, Liam Hemsworth, and John Malkovich).
