We’ve barely seen Chase over the last few months on “Days of Our Lives” and it looks like we won’t be seeing him much in the future.
Actor Jonathon McClendon said goodbye to DAYS Thursday afternoon via social media, tweeting that the show hasn’t had him working for several months. He also added how it “was a pleasure” to work on the soap.
McClendon joined DAYS on-air last fall as a SORAS’d Chase Jennings. At first, the character seemed to be a teen hero, but soon morphed into the polar opposite. He became Theo’s bully and then shocked the soap world when he raped Ciara Brady (Vivian Jovanni) on Alice Horton’s couch.
Ciara and friends got a confession out of the young man. He was then placed behind bars. Since then, he’s been moved to a mental facility, but has rarely been seen on screen.
McClendon received critical acclaim for his work, and was also among this years Daytime Emmy’s pre-nominees.
DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Share your thoughts, leave a comment in the section below. Additionally, for more Days of Our Lives’ spoilers updates, recaps, and news, go to Soap Hub’s Facebook fanpage and join the conversation about all your favorite soaps!
