While creating great soap operas is serious business…most of the time…occasionally, actors can forget a line or move too soon, and it throws things off. Sometimes that mess-up can create some hilarious moments, as was the case on the set of the second installment of Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem with fan favorite Peter Reckell. Now the show has released a blooper reel you really must see.
Peter Reckell Knows How To Have Fun
For fans of the actor who won our hearts as Bo Brady when he first stepped foot in Salem back in 1983, this gift from the soap Gods is a must-watch. Even if you haven’t seen the latest season of Beyond Salem (available on peacock’s premium service), you’ll be able to enjoy these light-hearted moments the actor shared with Loretta Devine (known to Grey’s Anatomy fans as Adele Webber) playing Angela.
What is most striking about watching these bloopers is how great it is to see Reckell having a ball on the set once again. His love for his character, his co-workers, and the crew is evident in the smile on his face — and it’s infectious! You can’t help but smile as you watch it unfold.
Which is great news for fans because if he’s having a good time, there’s a really great chance he’ll be willing to return to the role. And if you did watch Beyond Salem, chances are you know the probability of seeing Bo Brady on our screens again — whether it’s in a third installment or (could we be so lucky?) or back on the mothership NBC soap — is very good.

In fact, the actor himself seems to be hoping for this when he asked viewers to let the big brass know if they want more. Having Peter Reckell wanting to play Bo isn’t just half the battle…it’s most of it. And now that he’s no longer based in New Zealand, perhaps the soap Gods will smile on us once more and give viewers what they have been screaming years for — Bo Brady back in Salem. In the meantime, you can watch the bloopers and enjoy!
